Jill meets up with Eustace and tries to tell him what she has experienced but he is focused on watching the old king of Narnia leave on a voyage. An owl takes them to see Trumpkin, the lord regent who is almost totally deaf and makes some humerous comments while he tries to understand who these strangers are. He invites them to the castle. Jill finally gets to tell Eustace what the signs are that Aslan has told them to watch for and Eustace recognizes that he has already missed the first one. He was to speak to the first person he knew in Narnia
LOL for the dwarf. I'm sure it hit Eustace really hard that he had missed the first sign Aslan had given them. He already knew who Aslan was and respected and loved him.
